Summer and spring are my favorite seasons. However, during the summer I don’t have an appetite for super-filling meals that sometimes make me feel bloated, and I prefer having small refreshing snacks. The healthy high-protein dessert recipe I’m about to share with you is just perfect for those scorching summer days. I’ve recently come up with this low-calorie snack, and now I’m officially in love with it.
Healthy High-Protein Dessert
This healthy high-protein dessert recipe is extremely easy, and even absolute novices will find zero difficulties following it. What’s more, you’ll need only four products. One of the reasons why I like it so much is that it’s not only filling but it’s packed with great nutrients, as well. As you’ll soon discover, this low-calorie dessert contains lots of fiber, healthy fats, and protein.
Also, as mentioned, it’s pretty simple to make. All you’ll need, except for the ingredients, of course, are a bowl, a fork or a whisker, and a spoon so that you can eat this heavenly-like low-calorie dessert. I promise you that this will become your next favorite summer snack. I personally enjoy it more than ice cream at this point.
Healthy High-Protein Dessert Recipe
- Let me begin by listing the ingredients you’ll need for the preparation of this super simple and diet-friendly dessert:200-250g of low-fat yogurt
1 serving of protein powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
strawberries (add as many as you’d like)
coconut flakes for decorationThe first thing you need to do is grab a bowl and a fork. You can also use one of those baking whiskers; however, the fork works perfectly fine for me.
- The second step is to add approximately 200g of yogurt into a bowl. I prefer using low-fat, but you can use any type of yogurt you want. Give it a little whisk until the mixture contains no lumps.
- Then, you’ll want to add one serving of protein powder into the yogurt. I’ve recently discovered the coconut-flavored Impact Whey Protein by MyProtein, and I am obsessed! That’s probably because I really like everything coconut, but honestly, this protein powder is everything! Nevertheless, you can add any powder – chocolate, strawberry, banana, it doesn’t matter.
- After that, you really have to put a lot of effort to whisk everything together making sure that the mixture contains no grains of undissolved protein. This way, the high-protein dessert will get a silky smooth texture and will become even more delicious.
- Next to the last, add one tablespoon of chia seeds into the protein and yogurt mixture, and give it a stir. If you leave it in the fridge for an hour or so, the seeds will absorb the water from the yogurt and you’ll have a high-protein pudding! However, I prefer having it right away.
- And last but not least, chop some strawberries and top the low-calorie pudding with them. You can also sprinkle some coconut flakes, I only did it for the purpose of the photos.
