One piece of advice I can give you is to use a hair conditioner when shaving. It will smooth and hydrate your skin. Also, never shave dry skin. Like, never. This will probably cause irritation, razor burns, and ingrown hairs.
Number two in the list of ‘What Causes Strawberry Legs?’ are clogged pores. Unfortunately, they don’t appear only on our faces. When the pores on your skin are clogged up with excessive oil, bacteria, or dead skin, they become dark and visible.

Perhaps, you’re not surprised that the first strawberry legs treatment I suggest you try, is exfoliation. If you exfoliate your skin at least 4 times a week, this will remove the dead skin and any bacteria that may be on the top layer of your skin. Not only this, but it may also help you if you’re struggling with ingrown hairs.
The natural ingredients I use to exfoliate my skin are only two – sugar and olive oil. It’s that simple, really. If you wish, you can add some natural aloe vera juice for extra skin hydration.
Just mix everything together and apply some of the paste on your skin. Then, start rubbing it on your legs in a circular motion for a few minutes. After that, just hop in the shower and rinse it with cool water.
After I exfoliate and take a shower, I put some moisturizer with coconut oil on my legs, and that’s it. My skin is as soft as a baby’s bottom.

It’s even better to moisturize your skin every day after you take a shower. But to be honest, sometimes it just slips my mind. Guilty!
So, after you take a shower, the first thing you need to do is to dry your body. Next, you want to put some good moisturizer on those beautiful legs. Rub it nice and gently, and you’re ready to go.
I advise you to use moisturizers with natural oils because they will definitely make your skin soft and smooth. Mine is with coconut oil, and it’s the best thing ever! I even bought 3 packages, just in case.
Many people think that moisturizers and body lotions are the same. However, that’s not quite right. Even though both products will make your skin soft, there are some slight differences between the two.
Moisturizers often have a thicker consistency, and they also have a higher oil base, whereas lotions have a water base. Body lotions often contain many ingredients that are not good for your skin. This is because lotions with a high content of water may lead to bacteria growth. So, to prevent this, preservatives such as parabens and salicylic acid are added to the product.
That being said, I think moisturizer is the better option here. Along with exfoliation, moisturizing is the most affordable strawberry skin remedy.
When a friend of mine wants to know how to get rid of strawberry skin, I always ask her if she shaves her legs. Many girls will disagree that shaving is the worst method of hair removal, but I really believe it is. And I speak from my personal experience.
