Is It Possible to Attract What You Want In Life?

why do you fail to attract what you want in your life pin for pinterestEven though many people are skeptical about the belief that you can attract what you want in your life, it’s actually true, and it’s so incredibly simple to do so.

The moment you become the master of your thoughts, you automatically become the master of your life. Many people have achieved their goals, precisely by using the power of their minds. Their mindset has helped them become rich, healthy, and most importantly, happy.

A big part of society has the wrong belief that the future is already planned, and they readily accept everything that occurs in their lives. However, that’s not quite right. If you just welcome the bad events taking place in your life, you’ll have even more things to be miserable about in the future.

To put it simply, if you think positively and believe that something great will happen to you, you’re much more likely to attract good things into your life. On the contrary, if you’re constantly sad and angry, there’s a big possibility to remain like this for a very long time.

Happiness is an inward job, and the best way to find it is to look inside of you.

Why Do Fail to Attract What You Want In Your Life?

There are many things people do that put a thick wall between their lives and the good things waiting to happen to them. Find out what are the most commonly made mistakes when it comes to using the power of the mindset.

You’re Impatient

If you’re impatient and think that the magic will happen overnight, you’re wrong. Just like all good things in life, this process also takes some time.

All this positive mindset thing requires a lot of patience, dedication, and belief. A belief that what you wish for will come into your life sooner or later. If you don’t see any results in a week, don’t let the thought of giving up cross your mind.

You Have The Wrong Mindset

attract what you want in your life with the right mindset

As I already said, if you’re miserable all the time, you’ll never attract what you want in your life. Unless you wish for sadness, poverty, and misfortune – then you’re on the right path.

Let’s say you complain about being tired all the time. By doing this you attract even more things into your life that require your energy, time, and effort.

However, if your mind is filled with positive thoughts and you feel content, you’ll undoubtedly attract more things into your life to be happy about.

You Don’t Really Believe It

Many people decide that it’s finally time for their dream lives to happen. They eagerly step into the process of changing their lifestyle and mindset. The idea of attracting what you want in your life just by using the power of your mind sounds almost magical.

But there’s one thing they’re doing incredibly wrong. They don’t really believe all this. The thing is that you must be 101% sure that you’ll achieve anything you want. You must be filled with kindness, positivity, and gratitude. Rudeness and ungratefulness have no place in your life.

Simply put, you should feel the excitement filling you up every time you think of your goal. You should think as if your dream is almost realized and it takes just a little more to fulfill it. Talking about your goal must put a big smile on your face. If you do this, you’ll attract what you want in your life sooner than you expect.

You Don’t Think About It Enough

To attract what you want in your life using the power of your mindset means that your mind should be occupied with that one particular goal. You should think about it first thing in the morning. When you relax on the couch after a hard day at work, think about it. Before you go to sleep at night, make sure your dream is the last thing you occupy your mind with.

Try to visualize what your life would look like if you’ve already fulfilled your dreams – visualize where you’d live, what your job would be, how you’d feel, etc.

It’s a great idea to create a visual board. You can use photos, quotes, or words related to your goal. Hang your visual board on a place where you’ll see it every single day.

You can even encourage your creativity by using Photoshop. For example, if you want to be a successful Youtuber, create a design with your Youtube channel that has 1million subscribers.

If you think about your dreams occasionally, you’ll most likely have a very hard time achieving them. Nonetheless, if you try and fill your mind with the thoughts of achieving your goals, you’ll attract what you want in your life much easier.

Why Do Fail to Attract What You Want In Your Life? | Final Words

All in all, using the power of your mindset to attract what you want in your life is not an easy job. However, it’s absolutely achievable.

The good thing is that no investment is needed. All it takes for you to do is to put some effort and time into fulfilling your goals. Also, make sure you fill your mind with positive thoughts that’ll help you attract more good things into your life.

  1. Thanks for sharing Alexandra, it’s a really good point about ‘you don’t think about it enough’ it’s easy to be divided by several goals. I’ve found it more effective to get results focusing on one thing at a time even if it’s just a month of focus. Wanting too much results in not achieving much!

    All the best

    • A very well written and informative blog post, the advise given is more than valuable. And yes I feel you made a very important point : Things do not change overnight, do not give in, stay focused on what you want, as long as it is good, it’s as good as yours 😃

  2. This is so true. My mum always used to tell me that if I could picture it clearly enough in my head then it would happen. Surrounding yourself with positive people and thoughts will always breed achievement. Additionally, I totally agree that you have to believe in the dream. Sometimes I question whether I can do something which makes me believe that whatever I’m dreaming is unachievable when really it’s my own mindset stopping me. A really important post thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you for your comment, Meera. <3 Visualization is the first step to achieving anything you want! 🙂 If you believe that this fantasy in your head can become reality, you're halfway there.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing Alexandra, there is always the saying, “good things come to those who wait” however i do believe this is misleading because it takes away the responsibility to make ourselves happier. Great post! 🤗

  4. This is such a great post and I couldn’t agree more with it. I can definitely tell if I am not thinking positively from the start of the day, it just really sets your mood for the day doesn’t it? I man I woke up thinking, today is going to be stressful and it turned out it was, maybe a bit of insight into what my day was going to be, or my thoughts made it this way?

    Great post!

  5. I love making vision boards! It’s a great way to simplify visualization for those who struggle with it! It really helps to make those desires seen more concrete!

  6. Thank you for sharing! I can be pretty pessimistic at times, thinking of the worst. But there are times when I put my mind into the things I really wanted, no matter how hard or impossible it felt and no matter how much I wanted to give up, and I accomplished it: like losing weight, getting into the graphic design program at my university, graduating, finding a job, etc.

    • We all have those moments, you’re not alone. <3

What's important is to always try and shift your perspective. Seeing the positive in every situation is extremely hard in the beginning, but in time you get used to it and do it almost involuntarily!

I'm happy you've managed to achieve so much! <3

  7. This is a great post. I sometimes struggle to find the balance between thinking about it too much, and not thinking about it enough – once you get the right balance it’s so much easier to manifest!!

  8. I love trying to visualise my goals and dreams, or where I want to be in so many years time. I feel like it helps motivate me to work on my goals. I do try to have a positive mindset, although I definitely have those days where I find it extremely hard to be positive but I guess it’s only human to feel like that. Thanks for sharing though, great post!

    • Yes, absolutely. Visualization works the same for me. It’s absolutely normal to have days when you don’t feel your best. 🙂
      Thank you for your comment.

  9. I love this Alexandra! I 💯 believe, mindset matters! Have you read Carol Dweck’s Mindset: the new psychology of success? That book totally transformed the way I think about myself and how I go about pursuing things I really want in life. Thanks for this informative post!

    • Thank you for your sweet comment, Clarissa. I haven’t read that one in particular but I’m adding to my list right now! 🙂 Thank you for the recommendation.

  10. You nailed it in the first point itself. I’m no stranger to impatience, with a new blog and having put tons of effort without seeing much in results.
This was just a reminder for me that it takes time. I just need to believe in my efforts, my system, and stay patient.

  11. Patience and positivity are the key words here! I’m naturally a pretty positive person, but struggle with having patience and not rushing through things. It’s so important to maintain both in order to see the effects in your life. Thanks for sharing!

  12. This was so beautifully written, Alexandra. Mindset is everything. I love how you pointed out that sometimes we fail to attract what we want because we don’t fully believe that we will. Having faith and confidence that you will accomplish your goals is crucial. Loved reading this so much!

  13. Excellent post! This is a real eye-opener for sure. I think a lot of us are constantly asking ourselves why we’re not seeing results from whatever it is we’re working on. I think we’re expecting results at a much quicker pace than it really takes to achieve. True manifestation begins with a positive mindset and that must be met with real, true feelings. Thank you for sharing!

    • Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Kayla! <3

In order to see results, you have to be patient, determined, and most importantly, you must believe that you're capable of anything. 🙂

  14. I love this! I’m a big believer that you set the direction of your life based on your mindset and how much faith you put in yourself. I really appreciate that you’ve taken the time to acknowledge some of the difficult sides of that – like the self doubt and wavering faith that come in from time to time. It’s a great reminder that important things do take time, and even in the tougher moments, it’s worth sticking to a positive outlook on the big picture.

  15. I really could not relate to these more! Every single day I visualise what my dream life would be and I mean every aspect haha, but sometimes I just don’t believe it’ll come true, I guess I need to work on that and actually believe that it will!

    • Thank you so much for your comment, Jared!

Yes, belief is so crucial here. If you believe in something hard enough, sooner or later it’ll come into your life in its full glory! 🙂

  16. I’m a big believer in a positive mindset too. It really does make a huge difference and positivity attracts positivity. I’m using it a lot at the minute in trying to achieve my goals. And like you say, I’m practising patience too. Thanks for sharing this x

    • Thank you for your comment, Jaclyn! I wish you good luck on your journey to attracting what you want in your life! 🙂 I know you can do it.

  17. Thanks for creating such an important post! A positive mindset is so important and vital to successes in life. We don’t realise how much a negative mindset can impact your life, achievements and such.

    Thank you!

    Stay wonderful!

  18. I agree with you about the reasons why it’s hard to attract the people we want in life. I know I am SUPER impatient. Oooooh it is interesting that you mention about us not believing it while not thinking about it enough. Kind of goes hand to hand. Thanks for sharing all of this insight!

  19. I like your point about not thinking about what you want enough. If what you want doesn’t stay top of mind, then you won’t develop a plan. Great post.

  20. I loved reading this post! You are so right. More of then than not, we are the ones blocking good things from happening to us. It takes conscious effort to allow blessings to manifest in our lives.

  21. Wonderful article Alexandra… It’s totally inspiring.
Adapting a positive mindset really does take a lot of patience and dedication

Wooow!! people really think that the future is already planned and that their actions have nothing to do with it??

    • Many people live with this mindset, yes. 🙁 They think everything’s planned for them and accept everything that takes place in their life (whether good or bad).

      Thank you for commenting. <3

  22. This post hits home for me – I can definitely have the wrong mindset and be impatient sometimes. Thanks for this post though! It really got me thinking about things I need to change about myself and my outlook on things.

  23. Great post! I think this is definitely something I’m guilty of, especially recently, and this has been a bit of a reality check that I need to start shifting my mind-set. There are some really useful bits of advice here and you’re completely right: the power of positivity goes so far. Thank you for this!

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! 🙂

If you shift your mindset, your life will change completely and you’ll see how much you’ve been missing. 🙂 Good luck!

  24. Thank you, Alexandra. Visualisation is a hugely powerful concept – I think far too many people dismiss its power. Which is crazy when you think about it because there are so many examples of its success all around us. Just look at the top athletes in sport – a great many of them visualise their success before it happens. Arnold Schwarzenegger used to visualise his biceps as mountains appearing out of his upper arms – and nobody has ever accused him of having small biceps!

    • Thank you for your comment.

Visualization is one of the key things people must do in order to achieve their dreams. 🙂
It has worked for me, that’s why I’m absolutely sure it’ll work for anybody.

  25. Thank you for posthing this wonderful blog post! I truly believe we talk very negatively to ourselves and that’s what we receive. We need to learn to not put ourselves down all the time and enjoy the things we have in life and work toward our next goal.

  26. Thanks for sharing amazing post! I find myself very upset all the time before and these tips can help a lot. Thanks

  27. Good post! This would encourage people to get their success.

Most of the times it happens that we want to achieve something but also have a fear of getting failure. And is our negative side that makes the things more harder and slowly we stop dreaming that or change our mindset. Or sometimes it often happens that we become to eager to find results overnight which is not generally soo easy.
